A classic ship seen in honorable duels, the Rapier was named after an ancient weapon (basically a sharp steel rod) that grown up men would poke each other with. Though it is unclear what was considered honorable in such a practice, the notion survived. A modern Rapier duel is without question more elegant and noble. - Ingame Description
